Getting Started

 

STEP ONE: Consultation/Intro to Foundry Athletics/CrossFit

Once you’ve decided you want to get into the best shape of your life and be a part of a community of like-minded people, it’s time to book a Student Consultation/Intro at Foundry Athletics.

Do it alone or bring a friend along to your 60-minute free intro session that explains the  methodology and evaluates your current level of fitness. More specifically, you will become acquainted with our application of the CrossFitGroup training method

STEP 2: OPTIONAL (but strongly encouraged) – Movement Training

In Step 2 you will be taught some of the basic movements that we use daily in our regular group classes. You will be shown how to safely and effectively Squat, Deadlift and Press. Theses 3 movements/exercises will be the foundation in which you will build upon throughout your time with Foundry Athletics/CFK.

As you progress you will also have the opportunity to do additional 1 on 1 sessions to help further develop your technical ability in more complex lifts like the snatch and clean and jerk.

The cost of  these sessions is $60/per session

STEP 3: Group Classes and Group PLUS Classes

During group classes, you’ll push yourself and sweat it out with like-minded individuals, as you compete with yourself (and others, if you choose) for rounds, time, points, glory, emotional satisfaction and spiritual growth. You will reach new physical and emotional levels you didn’t think were possible, and you will undoubtedly find yourself with a new social and support network, who will help you on your continued path to greater health and happiness.

Each group class will have at least one coach and a maximum of 16:1 athlete to coach ratio. This ensures you will continue to receive technical coaching even as your CrossFit and fitness abilities improve.
